Field trip: Mashantucket Pequot Museum

Expenses of this field trip (admission, a meal) are covered by the Rumowicz Seminar in Literature and the Sea.

1. let me know if you have a car and are willing to drive other students — let’s do our best to carpool
2. let me know if you prefer to meet other students on campus; meet a group near Providence; or meet at the museum.

What our day will look like:

9 AM Those of you that are driving together from campus will meet at 10am at the Dunkin Donuts across from Swan and the Alumni Center for carpooling. Drive time is Approx 1 hour from the URI campus.
- 10 AM Arrive at Mashantucket Pequot Museum at 10am, our stay will include a tour of the museum collections and in the afternoon, after lunch, the museum will also be hosting a Spring Social
- Noon Box lunch (please let me know of restrictions/preferences); following lunch, please attend the Spring Social.
- Return to campus/home.
Directions & Parking
From Rhode Island and Points North
Follow Route 95 South to Exit 92. At the Exit, go to the second stop sign and take a right onto Route 2
West. Stay on Route 2 West for 8 miles. Take the Foxwoods Boulevard Exit. Move to the left-hand lane
for Route 214 West. Drive 3/10 mile to the third light and turn right onto the Pequot Trail. The Public
Safety Building is on the left. Continue until you reach the museum parking lot on the left
